A Message from Mountain Valleys Health Centers

Mountain Valleys Press Release 4.2.2020

Mountain Valleys Health Centers (MVHC)  Serving Shasta, Lassen, Modoc and Siskiyou County Residents

As the COVID pandemic continues, Mountain Valleys is looking for ways to reduce risks for patients, providers and staff. Currently MVHC clinics remain open with normal business hours. In addition, MVHC has implemented phone and virtual appointments for all medical and behavioral health providers. Dental services have been reduced to emergent care.  If you have an emergent dental issue, please call and speak with our dental triage staff at 530.999.9011 between the hours of  8 a.m. and 12 p.m.    Though our doors are open, and we are here to serve the public, we want folks to heed the warning to shelter in place.  If you have an emergency such as a laceration, broken bone, chest pain, etc., we need to see you in person, but the virtual visit option is an alternative way for us to provide certain types of care and keep our providers, staff and patients safe during this risky time.   Virtual and phone visits are appropriate in many cases such as chronic care follow up for medication refills or adjustments, diabetic and hypertensive care, specialty follow up, lab or imaging follow up, etc.  They are also appropriate for acute care situations such as bladder infections, allergies, flu like symptoms, COVID screening and education, depression, etc.  Though physical exams pose challenges during a telephone or virtual visit many things can be addressed.  For instance, education on any topic, orders for screening exams like Mammogram, developmental screenings, etc.  Please let us know how we can help you.
